The last in a series of pictures where I turn My Little Pony characters into level one adventurers: Rainbow Dash! Okay, I know I'm going to catch flak for this one. Most build I've seen peg Rainbow as either a barbarian or scout, which makes a lot of sense: barbarians get that extra 10ft of movement right at the beginning, and scout's a mobility-centered class. Also, the fighter is considered a sub-bar class. I very nearly went with barbarian for that very reason, but hear me out. The way I see it (and the way I would have played it) it that Dash is a specialist. In the show, it's a flying specialist. In D&D, it would almost have to be a combat specialist. In in my mind, that means that she's going to have a lot of tricks that other classes aren't, or at least more of them. So I figure she'd pursue feat trees-dodge/mobility/spring attack, combat expertise/improved X (grapple, trip, disarm, etc). Stuff that she can use to really show off in a fight. But I'll concede, it's pretty much impossible to ignore her need for speed, so I threw dash in there (+5 movement). As people will no doubt say, barbarian would probably be a better build; but this is more about how I, personally, would play her, and I'll admit, I'm not always the best at optimizing. Also, boots of flying is one of those things I'd never let a first-level character have, but it's fairly impossible to imagine Rainbow without some means of flight, so there we go.
Looks-wise, I ended up deciding to stay away from a full on Greek/Roman look; one: because it's already been done a lot, and two: because it seemed out of place with the rest of the group (Applejack's design suffers from this, too, but it's a lot harder to separate her from the cowgirl look than Rainbow from the Greek). I tried to keep a few little influences present, primarily in the bronze bracers and shield. The design of the shoulder pads was also heavily based on a few photos I had of some Grecian armor. If we could see the shield face, it would probably have had Rainbow's cutie mark on it. The was included to kind of tie her look in with the more medieval European vibe of standard D&D; it's slit in front to accommodate the rider of a horse (If I'd had more skill points, I would have sunk them into ride; kinda regret taking 'swim').
Anyway, that's the last of the Mane cast. Step two would be putting together a suitably adventurous pic using them all. Maybe I'll throw in some sketches of background ponies as NPCs....could be fun.
Yesterday I had an idea to write a story about mlp in the middle ages. I was all like: "Okay, AJ would be an archer/ranger, Fluttershy a cleric/druid, Pinkie a bard, RD a fighter, rarity a theif/rouge, and Twilight a wizard. Then I look up images for them. What do I see? You have created AJ as a ranger, Fluttershy as a Druid, Pinkie as a bard, RD as a fighter, Rarity a rouge, and Twilight a wizard.
Anyhow, "PnD" is a good idea, I wish I thought of it earlier.
Big coincidence:

How much of a coincidence was that?!
On another note these are REALLY and I mean REALLY well done
